1. Packaging Materials: We use strong boxes and cushioning materials such as air bubbles, kraft paper or packing peanuts.
2. Sealing: All boxes are protected with film and sealed with strong adhesive tape and stickers.
3. Reusable boxes: We try to reuse boxes whenever we can to reduce our pollution footprint as much as possible.
4. Repackaging: If you need to change the packaging of your goods, we are here to help you.

Shipping costs, times and options

• Carriers: We work only with trusted carriers with guarantees, such as DHL, UPS, TNT, Fedex and other locations in each country where we operate.
• Shipping addresses: You can send to the carrier's home or collection point.
• Shipping Costs: Find out about shipping rates depending on the weight, size of the package and the chosen service. You can calculate shipping costs using the transportation quote.
• Estimated Deadlines:
  • Delivery times vary depending on the carrier and the service selected.
  • On average, shipments from Europe to the Bahamas take between 5 to 10 days
• Shipping Options:
  • Standard delivery: Economical but with longer delivery times.
  • Delivery with stopover: Combination of couriers with stopover at a warehouse in the network so that you save as much as possible, with longer delivery times.
  • Express delivery: More expensive but guarantees longer deliveries fast.
• Shipping Insurance:
  • Basic insurance included. In case of incidents, €6.67/kg domestic and €10/kg international will be covered.
  • Optional premium insurance with full coverage based on the declared value of the package.

All shipments have a tracking number included!

Restrictions and Regulations

Prohibited Items: There are certain items that cannot be sent to The Bahamas under any circumstances. These include:

• Illegal drugs and controlled substances: Includes narcotics and prohibited substances.
• Weapons and ammunition: Firearms, ammunition, explosives and weapons considered offensive (including some prohibited knives and personal defense sprays such as pepper spray/CS).
• Hazardous materials: Explosives, flammable, gases, corrosives, toxic and dangerous chemicals.
• Indecent or obscene material: Content considered illegal or obscene under British regulations.
• Protected fauna and flora: Protected species, their parts or derivatives (and products subject to CITES) without the appropriate permits.
• Restricted items: These items can be shipped to the Bahamas, but require permits, licenses or meet specific conditions:
• Foods of animal origin (meat and dairy) and certain fresh foods: These tend to have strong restrictions, especially if they come from outside the EU.
• Medicines: May require a prescription or additional controls depending on the type of product.
• Alcohol and tobacco: They are usually subject to excise taxes and restrictions.
• Regulated products or “controlled”: Depending on the type (for example, specific chemicals or items with safety restrictions), they may require licensing or additional review.

Customs procedures

• Packet Review: All packages entering the Bahamas may be checked by the border authority and HMRC to verify the contents, declared value and compliance with import regulations.
• Duties and Taxes: The The Bahamas applies import taxes depending on the type of shipment and its value:
• Import VAT (VAT): it is generally applied to imported goods.
• Tariffs (Customs Duty): may be applied depending on the category of the product and its value. For low value purchases, there may be specific rules about when duties are due.
• Gifts: If the shipment is an actual gift between individuals, there may be a VAT exemption up to a certain value. If you exceed that limit, VAT and/or duties may apply.
• Payment of Tariffs: Normally the recipient pays the taxes/duties before receiving the package. In many cases, the operator (e.g. Royal Mail/Parcelforce or another courier) advances payment to HMRC and then charges you the amount along with a handling/clearance fee.
• Additional Documentation: Some products require extra documentation:
• Food and drink: May require additional checks and, where appropriate, certificates or specific restrictions.
• Medicines and medical products: May require prescription or supporting documentation.
• Fauna and flora: CITES permits if applicable.
• Release Procedures: Once the data is validated, charges (if any) are paid and the required documentation is presented, the package is released and continues its delivery.
• Tracking of the Package: You can track your shipment with the carrier's tracking number. If the package enters the shipping phase, it may appear as "Held in customs", "Awaiting payment" or "Awaiting information". customs clearance to avoid possible inconveniences!
