Yes, always. Bangladesh Customs (NBR) cross-checks declared values against price databases: underdeclaring does not work and delays the whole file. Declare the real purchase value: obvious undervaluation means retention and penalties that cost more than the tax. We prepare the declaration for you from your invoice.
Alcohol needs a specific licence (without it, certain seizure); drones and walkie-talkies need BTRC authorisation; gold is limited and declared; controlled medicines need DGDA permission. For normal purchases, just the invoice or receipt with the real value: we prepare the rest of the export paperwork and the declaration. Invoice with real value and specific descriptions; BTRC authorisation for radio equipment; prescription for medicines.
Yes, but they are taxed practically like any purchase (the exemption is symbolic). Bangladesh makes sense for what cannot be found there; as a gift, pick a category with low Supplementary Duty.
Because they cascade: duty on CIF, Supplementary Duty on that sum, VAT on the previous total, and so on across five concepts. 25% + 20% + 15% is not 60%: it is more, because each tax fattens the next one's base.
