Shipping costs, times and options

• Carriers: We work only with trusted carriers with guarantees, such as DHL, UPS, TNT, Fedex and other locations in each country where we operate.
• Shipping addresses: You can send to the carrier's home or collection point.
• Shipping Costs: Find out about shipping rates depending on the weight, size of the package and the chosen service. You can calculate shipping costs using the transportation quote.
• Estimated Deadlines:
  • Delivery times vary depending on the carrier and the service selected.
  • On average, shipments from Europe to Albania take between 5 to 10 days
• Shipping Options:
  • Standard delivery: Economical but with longer delivery times.
  • Delivery with stopover: Combination of couriers with stopover at a warehouse in the network so that you save as much as possible, with longer delivery times.
  • Express delivery: More expensive but guarantees longer deliveries fast.
• Shipping Insurance:
  • Basic insurance included. In case of incidents, €6.67/kg domestic and €10/kg international will be covered.
  • Optional premium insurance with full coverage based on the declared value of the package.

Restrictions and Regulations

Prohibited Items: There are certain items that cannot be shipped to Albania under any circumstances. These include:

• Hazardous materials: Explosives, flammables, toxics, poisons and hazardous chemicals.
• Illegal drugs and substances controlled: Includes narcotics and drugs without legal authorization.
• Arms and ammunition: Firearms, parts for weapons, ammunition and objects designed to cause harm.
• Pornographic material: Any content considered obscene or contrary to public morals.
• Protected fauna and flora: Live animals, plants, seeds and endangered species without the corresponding permits such as those from CITES.

Restricted Items:
These items can be shipped to Albania, but require special permits or must comply with certain regulations:

• Medicines: They may require a medical prescription and/or authorization from the corresponding health agency for their importation.
• Food and beverages: Meats, dairy products, alcoholic beverages and fresh products are subject to phytosanitary controls and may require certificates.
• Cosmetics and hygiene products: Must comply with local health regulations.
• Cultural materials: Art objects, antique books or heritage assets require additional documentation and permits from cultural authorities.

Declaration of Content and Value

• Accurate description: The sender must detail the items in the package, including quantities, brand and type of product.
• Declared value: The actual value of the merchandise must be declared.
  Declaring a lower value may generate fines, withholdings or seizures by Customs, while declaring a higher value may increase import taxes.You decide the declared value of your merchandise.

Customs procedures

• Package Review: All packages entering Albania are reviewed by Administrata Doganore Shqiptare (Albanian Customs) to ensure compliance with local import and tax control regulations.
• Tariffs and Taxes: Albania is not part of the European Union, so all shipments are subject to customs control. Currently, shipments with a declared value greater than €22 may be subject to import VAT. For values ​​​​over 150 EUR, in addition to VAT, customs duties may apply depending on the type of product and its tariff classification (HS Code). The general VAT in Albania is 20% and is calculated on the CIF value (Cost + Insurance + Freight). Import tariffs vary depending on the product category and the applicable trade agreements.
• Packages from the European Union and other countries: Although Albania is not a member of the European Union, it maintains trade agreements with the EU and other countries. Depending on the origin and type of merchandise, reduced tariffs or exemptions may apply. In general, shipments from the European Union, the United States or other countries are subject to the same import procedures, with the application of VAT, possible tariffs and health controls depending on the product category.
• Payment of Tariffs: The recipient in Albania is responsible for paying tariffs and taxes corresponding in local currency (Albanian Lek – ALL). Payment is made directly to the customs authorities or through the postal or courier operator before the package is released. The amount is calculated based on the CIF value declared on the commercial invoice.
• Additional Documentation: Some products require special permits or certificates:
• Food and beverages: May require health certificates and controls from the National Food Authority.
• Medicines and medical products: They may require registration or health authorization.
• Electronic devices and telecommunications: They may be subject to technical and compliance regulations.
• Fauna and flora: Require specific permits and, when applicable, CITES certificates.
• Release Procedures: Once the duties are paid and the required documentation is presented, Customs will release the package, which will then be delivered to the recipient through the corresponding postal or courier operator.
• Package Tracking: You can track your shipment using the tracking number provided by the international carrier and subsequently through the postal operator's system in Albania.
• Possible Delays: Customs processes may generate delays if the package requires additional review, additional documentation or contains restricted items. Health inspections or verification of the declared value may extend delivery times.
