Yes, always. The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA, Customs Division) clears through the ICUMS single window (48-72h with correct papers); postal parcels are collected at Accra Central, Accra North or Tema with a double receipt (Ghana Post + customs). Declare the real purchase value: obvious undervaluation means retention and penalties that cost more than the tax. We prepare the declaration for you from your invoice.
Food, cosmetics and medicines require FDA Ghana registration; radio equipment, NCA approval. Without the registration, the parcel waits in ICUMS. If the permit never arrives, or the item is outright prohibited, it gets seized. That is why it pays to ask us BEFORE buying any regulated product: we will tell you which paper it needs and how to get it.
No practical allowance (the de minimis is symbolic, ~US$5). ECOWAS CET duty by product (clothing 20%) + Ghana's VAT as reformed in 2026 + fees. Example: €200 of clothing runs ~45-50% total. Every shipment includes a tracking number. Follow it on the carrier\'s site or straight from your MDE dashboard, stage by stage: departure from our warehouse, transit, customs clearance and delivery in Ghana.

Yes, declared at real value, but no practical exemption: taxed like any shipment. For gifts, avoid FDA-registered categories (cosmetics, food) unless the paperwork is done.
