Costs, times and shipping options

• Carriers: We work exclusively with trusted and guaranteed carriers such as DHL, UPS, TNT, FedEx and other local carriers in each country where we operate.
• Delivery addresses: You can ship to a home address or a carrier collection point.
• Shipping costs: Find out about shipping rates based on the weight, size of the parcel and the chosen service. You can calculate shipping costs using the transport quoter.
• Estimated delivery times:
  • Delivery times vary depending on the carrier and selected service.
  • On average, shipments from Europe to Argentina take between 5 and 10 business days.
• Shipping options:
  • Standard delivery: Economical but with longer delivery times.
  • Multi-stop delivery: Combination of couriers with a stopover at a network warehouse to maximise your savings, with longer delivery times.
  • Express delivery: More expensive but guarantees faster deliveries.
• Shipping insurance:
  • Basic insurance included. In the event of incidents, coverage will be 6.67/kg domestic and 10/kg international.
  • Optional premium insurance with full coverage based on the declared value of the parcel.

All shipments include a tracking number!

Restrictions and Regulations

• Prohibited items: Certain items cannot be sent to Argentina under any circumstances. These include:
  • Hazardous materials: Explosives, flammables, poisons, dangerous chemicals.
  • Illegal drugs and controlled substances: Including narcotics and certain prescription medications.
  • Weapons and ammunition: Including replicas and firearms parts.
  • Pornographic material: Any content considered obscene or pornographic.
  • Protected fauna and flora: Endangered species, live animals without the corresponding permits.
• Restricted items: These items can be sent to Argentina but require special permits or must comply with certain regulations:
  • Medications: Some medications require a medical prescription or import permit.
  • Food and beverages: May require health permits, and certain fresh foods are subject to restrictions.
  • Cosmetics and personal care products: Must comply with health regulations.
  • Cultural materials: Historical artefacts, works of art, old books may require special permits.
• Content and value declaration:
  • Accurate description: The sender must provide a detailed description of the items in the package, including quantities and types.
  • Declared value: It is important to declare the actual value of the items. Undervaluing may result in fines and delays, while overvaluing may increase duties and taxes. You yourself will decide the declared value of your goods.

Customs procedures

• Package inspection: When a package arrives in Argentina from abroad, it is reviewed by customs to ensure it complies with the country's laws and regulations. With the new measures, 30% of products previously subject to the rigorous "red channel" are now inspected more efficiently, reducing delays and costs.
• Simplified import regime or Door-to-Door (Correo Argentino):
  • Annual allowance: USD 50 per shipment (Correo Argentino) for the first 12 annual shipments, with no taxes.
  • Excess taxation: If the value exceeds USD 50, 50% of the excess is paid as a duty.
  • Online procedure: Simplified declaration and payment through the ARCA portal.
• International Courier Regime:
  • Allowance per shipment: USD 400 per shipment (courier regime), exempt from import duties, up to 5 shipments per year; only VAT is paid.
  • Maximum limit: USD 3,000 per shipment and up to 50 kg.
  • Taxation: Above the allowance, 21% VAT and other taxes apply, but no import duties are paid up to the allowance limit.

You yourself decide the declared value of your goods. With these changes, costs associated with importing have been considerably reduced, directly benefiting consumers.

• Payment of duties and taxes: If the package exceeds the aforementioned allowances, the recipient must pay the corresponding taxes to release the package. This payment can be made through the carrier, or in the case of Door-to-Door, through the ARCA platform (formerly AFIP).
• Additional documentation: Although controls have been relaxed, some specific products may require additional documentation, such as import permits. However, the new regulations eliminate the requirement for "green stamps" and other procedures that previously complicated the process.
• Release procedures: With payments and documentation in order, the package will be quickly released by customs. The agility of the new procedures ensures that shipments reach the recipient more efficiently.
• Package tracking: The tracking number remains essential for monitoring the status of the package. However, changes to customs systems have considerably reduced processing times.
• Possible delays: Although many barriers have been removed, some shipments may experience minor delays. Maintaining communication with the carrier remains key for any additional queries.
