Vinted does not work in Argentina and does not ship to Latin America. It is a European second-hand clothing app that only operates between European countries, and its sellers can only ship within that circuit. In most cases you also cannot register with an Argentine phone number or pay with a local card.

Why Vinted won't let you buy from Argentina
There are three separate barriers, and it helps to understand them because each one is solved the same way:
- Shipping. Vinted works through country "pools". A Spanish seller can ship to Spain and to the countries in its pool, but Argentina is in none of them.
- Registration. The app asks for a European phone number to verify the account.
- Payment. Many Argentine cards are declined because the system expects a payment method from the account's country.

What you'll pay at Argentine customs (updated July 2026)
The Decree 604/2026, in force since 17 July 2026, changed the rules and improved them considerably. There is now a single regime for Correo Argentino and for private couriers:
- USD 400 FOB allowance per shipment, exempt from import duties and the statistics fee.
- Up to 5 shipments per person per year.
- Cap of USD 3,000 and 50 kg per shipment.
- Above the allowance the flat 50% rate was removed: the excess is now taxed under the general regime (21% VAT plus any duties that apply to the goods).
Until 16 July, anyone receiving through Correo Argentino had just USD 50 of allowance per shipment. Now they have 400: eight times more. Together with the removal of the PAÍS tax in December 2024 and the end of the currency controls, buying in Europe from Argentina has not been this convenient in years.
The biggest saving: combining several purchases
Vinted is second-hand clothing, so you usually buy single, cheap items from different sellers. Shipping each one separately would cost more than the clothes. That is why it pays to gather several purchases at the warehouse and send them together in one box.
A typical case: from Madrid to Buenos Aires
Say you buy a The North Face jacket, two hoodies and a pair of Nike sneakers from four different Vinted sellers in Spain. Separately, each seller would make a domestic shipment within Europe, but none of them ships to Argentina.
