Is it still possible to ship from Europe to the United States? Yes, with MDE

In recent weeks the rules of the game have changed for EU → USA shipments. As of August 29, 2025, the United States eliminated the $800 de minimis exemption: now all packages require customs clearance and may pay duties and taxes according to their category. The measure was announced by the White House and CBP (U.S. Customs) and confirmed by international media.

As a result of this change, several European postal services have temporarily suspended a large part of their shipments to the U.S. in order to adapt systems and processes. However, express courier service with commercial clearance remains operational.

So… can I ship today with MDE?

In addition, DHL announced that DHL Express commercial clearance remains available under the new framework.
