Register on the Correo Argentino International Shipments Portal<\/strong><\/h4>\nGo to <a href=\"https:\/\/epago.correoargentino.com.ar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/epago.correoargentino.com.ar<\/a> , select the \"I'm new, I want to register\" option and fill in the requested details.\n\nAfter entering your details and clicking \"Register\", you will receive an email to activate your account, so that you can then log in with your username and password. It is important not to share this information, as it is personal and non-transferable.\n\nTo be able to register you must be a natural person and you must have:\n<ul>\n \t<li><strong>A CUIL or CDI number, and a national or foreigner's DNI<\/strong> issued by RENAPER. The DNI has the \"Procedure Number\" printed on it, which consists of eleven digits and is one of the details you will need to fill in.<\/li>\n \t<li><strong>Passport Number: EXCLUSIVELY<\/strong> for foreigners; when they <b>do NOT have a DNI<\/b>, they may register with their passport number. In these cases, shipments must be collected in person at the branch with customs control that will be indicated to you.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>2. Create a \"Purchase Notice\"<\/strong><\/h4>\nIf you have the tracking code that the seller used to send the shipment, you can enter it on the International Shipments Portal, and thus create a Purchase Notice. This way, we can notify you about the arrival of your shipment faster and by email, instead of having to send you a telegram.\nWhen your shipment arrives in the country, we will let you know that you can now complete the process on the Portal to receive it.\nCreating the \"Purchase Notice\" makes the process of managing and receiving international shipments easier and faster.\n\n<strong>Tracking Code<\/strong>\n\nThe site or the seller where you made the purchase provides it to you.\nYou can find the code by going to the My Orders or My Purchases section on the site where you made the purchase.\nDo not confuse the Order Number with the tracking code.\n\n<strong>Types of Tracking Codes<\/strong>\n<ul>\n \t<li><strong>Registered Shipments:<\/strong> have tracking throughout their entire journey.\nThey begin with the letters R, C or E (For example: RM123456789CN) and are made up of two letters, nine numbers and two letters at the end.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n \t<li><strong>Simple Shipments:<\/strong> have limited tracking or no tracking.\nThey may begin with the letters U or L (For example: UF123456789HK; LJ123456789US)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nThe tracking code for registered or simple shipments will always be made up of two letters, nine digits and two final letters that indicate the country of origin.\n<h4><strong>3. Receive the notification that your shipment has arrived in the country<\/strong><\/h4>\nCorreo Argentino will send you a notification informing you that <strong>the shipment has arrived in the country<\/strong>:\n<ul>\n \t<li>Electronically <strong>(email)<\/strong> if you generated a \"Purchase Notice\" with the tracking code of origin, or<\/li>\n \t<li>Physically <strong>(telegram)<\/strong> if you did not generate a \"Purchase Notice\".<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<strong>It is necessary that you keep this notification<\/strong> for several reasons:\n<ul>\n \t<li>It contains the <strong>Origin tracking code and\/or the associated National tracking code<\/strong>, which is the one you will have to use to manage your shipment.<\/li>\n \t<li>It tells you the <strong>deadline<\/strong> you have to complete the process before your shipment is returned to the country of origin.<\/li>\n \t<li>In the event that you have to collect the shipment at a branch with customs control, you must present this notification.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<strong>What to do if you did not receive the notification?<\/strong>\n<ul>\n \t<li>If you have the tracking code provided by the sales site, you can access the Portal to complete the process.<\/li>\n \t<li>If you do not have the tracking code, we recommend contacting the seller.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<strong>If you received a notification but do not know the contents of the shipment:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n \t<li>It is advisable to check with the sender of the shipment, or the Marketplace in the case of a purchase, since if you do not have the information about the merchandise, you must go in person to the Branch with Customs to open the shipment, find out the contents and then complete the declaration (see next step).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nTo do this, within the Portal, you must enter the tracking code and, on the Declaration screen, select the option \"I do not know the contents of the shipment\".\n\nAfter paying the Postal Fee, you will receive an email with the information about the branch you must go to in order to find out the contents of the shipment and thus be able to complete the declaration.\n\n<strong>Change of distribution circuit<\/strong>\n\nThere may be reasons why your home shipment is reclassified by Customs to be collected with customs control. In those cases, you will receive a new communication (by email) indicating the steps to follow and which branch to go to.\n<h4><strong>4- Complete the content declaration and payment process<\/strong><\/h4>\nOnce Correo Argentino notifies you that the shipment has arrived in the country, log in to the Portal with your username and enter the tracking code.\n\nComplete the declaration and pay the corresponding amounts (Postal Processing Fee and Customs Duty if applicable).\n<h5><strong>How is it done?<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n \t<li>Go to <a href=\"https:\/\/epago.correoargentino.com.ar\/\">https:\/\/epago.correoargentino.com.ar<\/a> with your username<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n \t<li><strong>Step 1 - Enter the tracking code of your shipment<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\nCheck the pre-loaded data that the system returns to you\n<ul>\n \t<li><strong>Step 2 <\/strong>- <strong>Enter the details of the contents of your shipment:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n \t<li>Category<\/li>\n \t<li>Subcategory<\/li>\n \t<li>Description<\/li>\n \t<li>Quantity<\/li>\n \t<li>Unit value in USD<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nClick <strong>Add<\/strong> (+) for each product you want to add, in case you have to declare more than one item.\n<ul>\n \t<li><strong>Enter the shipping cost<\/strong> if applicable. When your shipment is \"Free shipping\" you must enter a value of 0.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><strong>Remember that\u2026<\/strong><\/h5>\nWhile the declaration is in progress you will be able to add new products, modify the details of those you have already entered or delete the products added; once you have submitted it you will NO longer be able to modify it.\n<h5><strong>Who is going to collect the shipment at the branch with customs control?<\/strong><\/h5>\nIn the event that your shipment has been classified to be collected with customs control at a branch, you can request representation by the Post, authorize a third party to handle the process (for example, if a customs broker is required), or book an appointment to go yourself, if the branch is enabled for it.\n<ul>\n \t<li><strong>Representation by the Post:<\/strong> the in-person process before Customs is carried out by the Post. If no observations arise from that inspection, the shipment will be released for home delivery. In the event that any observation arises from Customs, you will receive an email with the corresponding instructions.<\/li>\n \t<li><strong>Authorize a third party:<\/strong> you must indicate who will go to the branch with Customs to collect the shipment; the system will request the CUIL\/CUIT\/CDI number of the authorized person. This data will be saved and cannot be modified.<\/li>\n \t<li><strong>Step 3 - Pay (the Import Duties and the Postal Processing Fee)<\/strong>\n<ul>\n \t<li>On screen you will see the amount payable for your shipment according to what you declared and your available quota and allowance.<\/li>\n \t<li>The amount on which the Import Duties are calculated is the <strong>value of the merchandise plus the shipping cost<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nThe allowance will be deducted from the total amount on which the duty is calculated.\n\nOnce the declaration is completed and the amount has been displayed, the system will enable payment of the items and values you will be able to pay.\n<h5><strong>What am I about to pay?<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n \t<li><strong>Import Duties<\/strong>\n<ul>\n \t<li>For the first 12 shipments:\n<ul>\n \t<li>If the value of your shipment does not exceed USD 50, no payment is due.<\/li>\n \t<li>If the value of your shipment exceeds USD 50, you will pay 50% on the amount in excess of that value.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nFor example, if your shipment has a value of USD 70, the USD 50 allowance is subtracted; on that excess of USD 20, you will pay 50% in Import Duties, in this case USD 10.\n<ul>\n \t<li>When you exceed 12 shipments in the year: you will pay 50% of the value of your shipment.<\/li>\n \t<li><strong>Postal Fee<\/strong>: a fixed amount in all cases.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><strong>How do I make the payment?<\/strong><\/h5>\nYou can make the payment through these channels:\n<ul>\n \t<li>With a savings account or bank checking account, through <em>home banking<\/em>.<\/li>\n \t<li>With a VISA credit card.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><strong>You will receive an email to inform you that your payment has been confirmed.<\/strong><\/h5>\n<h5><strong>If the shipment is a gift...<\/strong><\/h5>\nGifts are not exempt from the payment of taxes or customs duties, so you will have to complete the declaration and pay the corresponding amount. To do this, you will have to calculate the approximate value of the gift.\n<h4><strong>5- Receive the shipment<\/strong><\/h4>\nOnce you have made the payment, AFIP-Customs will determine whether the shipment can be delivered to your home, or whether it requires content inspection by the customs service.\n<h5><strong>Home delivery<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n \t<li>Delivery is made during Correo Argentino's usual business hours: from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., at the address detailed on the shipment.<\/li>\n \t<li>It can be received by any person over 16 years of age from your family or household.<\/li>\n \t<li>If on that occasion there is no one available to receive the shipment, Correo Argentino will leave you a <b>visit notice<\/b>, indicating which branch corresponds to your address so that you can collect it in person, presenting that same visit notice and your DNI<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><strong>Collection at a branch with customs control<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n \t<li>The Post (if you requested Representation), the authorized person or You, will carry out the customs verification process to collect the shipment at the branch, during the hours indicated in the notification you received.<\/li>\n \t<li>If you did not opt for Representation by the Post, you will have to bring:\n<ul>\n \t<li>The notification of arrival in the country or the tracking code of your shipment<\/li>\n \t<li>Your original DNI<\/li>\n \t<li>The printed content declaration (on paper)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n \t<li>If you authorized another person they will have to bring:\n<ul>\n \t<li>The printed notification of arrival in the country with the stub for authorizing a third party fully completed.<\/li>\n \t<li>If you did not receive a notification and only have the origin number, an authorization containing: tracking code of the shipment, name, surname and DNI of the authorized person, with the signature, signature clarification and DNI of the authorizing party.<\/li>\n \t<li>A photocopy of your DNI<\/li>\n \t<li>The original DNI of the authorized person<\/li>\n \t<li>The printed content declaration (on paper)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n \t<li>If you authorized Correo Argentino to represent you before Customs, we will deliver the shipment to your home.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><strong>Appointments<\/strong><\/h5>\nIf you have to go to a Post branch with Customs Control, you can book an appointment from the portal.\n<ul>\n \t<li>You will have to bring:\n<ul>\n \t<li>The notification of arrival in the country or the tracking code of your shipment<\/li>\n \t<li>Your DNI<\/li>\n \t<li>The printed content declaration (on paper)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n \t<li>If another person goes on your behalf, and you did not authorize them through the system, you will have to present:\n<ul>\n \t<li>The printed notification of arrival in the country with the stub for authorizing a third party fully completed.<\/li>\n \t<li>If you did not receive a notification and only have the origin number, an authorization containing: tracking code of the shipment, name, surname and DNI of the authorized person, with the signature, signature clarification and DNI of the authorizing party.<\/li>\n \t<li>A photocopy of your DNI<\/li>\n \t<li>The original DNI of the authorized person<\/li>\n \t<li>The printed content declaration (on paper)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><strong>Important: deadline to process your shipment<\/strong><\/h5>\nIf the deadline indicated in the arrival email or telegram has passed, and you did not complete the process on the Portal or did not show up to collect the parcel, the shipment is returned to the country of origin.\n\nThis article is based on the experiences of our customers, who have processed hundreds of shipments using <strong>MDE<\/strong>.
